Kozan-ji Temple

It stands on a hill where you can see the panoramic view of Tanabe city. There are graves of Minakata Kuamagusu, a naturalist, and Ueshiba Morihei, the founder of Aikido there. This famous temple was opened by Kobo-Daishi and there is a shell mound of Jomon Period in the precincts of the temple where earthenware was found.
